Role Overview

The Senior Aerospace Program Manager is responsible for the successful execution of space and aerospace programs, with an emphasis on space vehicle development, satellite payloads, and mission-driven systems. This role oversees technical, schedule, and cost performance while coordinating across a matrixed organization of engineering, science, and operations teams.

This position is located at our offices in Louisville, Colorado. The position is hybrid with one day remote per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical, schedule, and financial execution of one or more aerospace or space vehicle programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies.
  • Manage programs supporting space vehicle development, satellite missions, payload integration, and space-based sensing systems, including government and commercial customers.
  • Serve as the primary program interface for customers, partners, and vendors, acting as a technical and contractual liaison.
  • Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including systems engineering, spacecraft engineering, payloads, modeling, and data analytics.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, funding profiles, and forecasts; monitor contract and subcontract performance.
  • Prepare staffing plans aligned to contract scope, including labor mix, skill requirements, and resource allocation; may support recruiting and interviewing efforts.
  • Conduct program reviews, risk management activities, and contract analysis using standard PM and financial tools.
  • Deliver required contract, project, and financial reports to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Support follow-on business, organic growth, and proposal activities related to space vehicle, satellite, and mission programs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with 16-18 years of experience OR Master's degree with 14+ years of experience OR PhD with 10+ years of experience
  • Must POSSESS and be able to maintain a Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated experience managing spacecraft, space vehicle, satellite, or aerospace programs, including development, integration, and/or operations.
  • Strong background in technical program management across engineering-intensive environments.
  • Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, and performance on complex contracts.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills in a matrixed, collaborative organization.
  • Passion for innovation and delivering mission-critical space solutions.
  • PMP Certification

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
