90% FTE, 12 hour rotating day/night shifts and includes every third weekend. Hours may vary based on the operational need of the department. This position will be working between the Madison and Janesville bases.

We are seeking a Care Team Leader (RN) to:

  • Provide informal leadership to nursing and support staff in a non-supervisory role.
  • Be responsible for the needs of the assigned base to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to care for complex critical care patients by assuming flight/transport duty 66% of the scheduled time or as operational needs require.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree - Nursing (ADN) Required
  • Bachelor's of Science - Nursing (BSN) Degree Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years of recent critical care nursing/transport experience Required
  • 3 years of leadership experience Preferred
  • Familiarity with operations of the assigned UW Med Flight base Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Required
  • Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified Critical Care Nurse, Certified Flight RN, Certified Transport RN, Certified Neonatal Pediatric Transport, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire Required
  • Professional certification in CCRN, CEN, or RNC Preferred
