We are currently searching for a Punch Press Setup/Operator to join our team. Location: Chicago, IL (Jefferson Park) Shift: M-F 7 am - 3:30pm Pay: $18.60/Hour * Under moderate supervision, sets-up and operates various types of single stroke and automatic punch presses. * Operator may be required to set-up and operate more than one punch press concurrently, depending on type of tooling and/or work load. * Set-up of press requires the placing and clamping of the die in the press, making adjustments of the press and related equipment, mounting of raw material on reel, making 1st parts for set-up approval, and inspection of samples. * Operation of press requires running of press, monitoring part quality, making equipment adjustments when necessary, and removal of parts to department staging area. * Other tasks that are required, include (but not limited to) removal of unused raw material, emptying of scrap pans, making boxes for parts, filling out associated paperwork, maintaining lubrication of dies, presses, and equipment, and maintaining a safe work area. | |
