Position Title: Assembler
Wage: $18.27 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am-3:00pm (Mon-Thurs) QPS Employment Group has a great Assembler position available at a company in Franklin, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire. Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret all related documents, drawings, and specifications, including electrical schematics. - Use all tools and equipment necessary to accomplish the job. Perform all manufacturing drilling and tapping operations. Perform all stripping, crimping, and cutting operations related to wires, regardless of size. Make mechanical adjustments as required. - Perform daily maintenance and check on calibration of relevant equipment and tooling; maintain records related to this. - Participate in total quality control teams, which includes finding and solving problems. Maintain process control. - Recognize problems or breaks in procedure. React to problems arising, take proper corrective action(s) and communicate these issues to the appropriate party. - Assist with changes in processes, (i.e., create jigs, participate in speak outs, and give input for process improvements). - Assemble panels, accessories into or on cabinets, and perform other miscellaneous mechanical assembly functions, with the exception of floor mount enclosures. - Assemble, wire, solder, and/or modify any module, chassis, enclosure, panel, subassembly, or assembly, with the exception of floor mount enclosures. - Process manual or computerized transactions (i.e., ability to retrieve data from and/or enter data). - Perform masking and touch-up paint operation on cabinets, panels, or components. - Sets-up and operates all nameplates, stamping, or any related machines to produce nameplates, tags, labels, etc. Assembler Requirements: - Standing and lifting up to 40 lbs. (or more, if required, with assistance). Climbing, bending, and strength to drill through cabinets are necessary. Work requires hand and wrist dexterity sufficient for precision assembly and repair. - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction of a non-routine nature. - Ability to check work for quality and accuracy as well as the ability to read documents related to job duties. - High School diploma, GED, or equivalent related work experience. - Preferred 6 months of electrical/electronic manufacturing experience. - Ability to read and write English, add and subtract, and follow instructions. - Consistently perform work in a timely, safe, and thorough manner.
