We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT To support SowLogic Plant Production and sales program by monitoring plant production at all active greenhouse partners, assisting with data entry for usability percentage and total plant quantity for each sowing along with verifying overall plant availability and quality. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Responsible for weekly inspections of SowLogic plant production in FL, GA, and IN greenhouses; candidate must live in southern GA. Record plant seeding dates, quantities, germination percentage and seedling quality in SowLogic's operating system Monitor and verify quantities/quality of all Partner Plant sowings Identify and report any potential concerns or issues Monitor overall plant production and report any shortages or overages to help manage SowLogic production / demand Provide recommendations for rolling of plants to and from opportunity plant production to extend inventory shelf life Provide Greenhouse Partners with loading instructions for SPOT orders Assist salesmen with plant sales and information on plant quality Assist with trial establishment and evaluation Oversee small grower plant scheduling Assist with writing SPOT orders Work with SowLogic Operations Team to provide information regarding SowLogic orders as needed OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply Performs all other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS BS degree in plant science or agriculture or equivalent experience Basic PC skills Good observational and communication skills Self-starter with ability to complete projects with limited supervision Experience with vegetable crop or seed industry a plus Knowledge of greenhouse production helpful Demonstrated essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position We are an equal opportunity/Disabled/Protected Veteran Employer.
