Job Brief As the Payroll Specialist, you will process Bi-weekly payroll for both U.S. and Canada. You will be part of a dynamic team who provides support in all areas of payroll. What You'll Do As the Payroll Specialist, you will process Bi-weekly payroll for both U.S. and Canada. You will be part of a dynamic team who provides support in all areas of payroll. Other duties will include: Remit tax payments and assist with tax filings Managing and processing of union payments Process on demand payments Assist with reconciliation questions and researching of payroll GL accounts Communicate via phone, email or in writing with employees, benefits specialist, human resources, managers, banks, credit merchants and state or federal agencies Prepare and assist with running and distributingmonthly reports Review and understand all company policies with respect to those polices that may govern the assigned payroll responsibilities Perform planning primarily around individual workload in order to meet deadlines for department and business objectives What We're Looking For: 2+years payroll processing experience Associates degree in accounting preferred Experience with SAP is desired Working knowledge of laws / regulations governing payroll, benefits and payroll taxes is preferred. Previous payroll experience in a large(2000+) complex organization preferred. The Payroll Specialist must be able to multitask and have a high level of expertise in Excel and advanced computer knowledge. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to use positive communication to work effectively with multiple individuals within the organization.
