Overview We are seeking an Environmental Scientist with 0 - 5 years of professional experience to be part of our Environmental Services department in our Fort Lauderdale or Miami, FL office. WGI is seeking an entry level environmental scientist to serve as an "In-House" consultant to assist senior staff with technical support and local, state and federal regulatory permitting of transportation projects in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, as a function of duties for a districtwide contract with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) - District 6. The Environmental Scientist will be responsible for providing technical support to our transportation projects. This position is for someone who enjoys a mixture of office and field work and enjoys a diversity of project types. The Environmental Scientist will work under the direction of several senior-level environmental professionals with diverse areas of expertise including wetland and upland permitting, and protected species management. Assist with transportation projects by coordinating with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, planners, and surveyors
