Overview

What You Will Do

Provides tier 1 network support to projects controls teams and assists Industrial Networking specialist as required, including topology diagrams, installation and configuration, and in-field and remote troubleshooting.

A Typical Day at Prime Controls

    Provides recommendations regarding the design and layout of fiber and copper local and wide area networks.
  • Provide network troubleshooting and technical support as assigned by IT Field Services Supervisor.
  • Works directly with industrial networking specialist to deploy and configure equipment in Prime Controls' FAT environment and at customer sites.
  • Produces accurate and detailed network topology drawings and diagrams for internal documentation and customer reference.
  • Provides weekly updates and progress report to the IT Field Services Supervisor, highlighting significant project milestones, requests for additional support or materials, and identifying existing and potential issues.
  • Escalate issues to the Sr. Industrial Network Specialist and IT Field Services Supervisor as necessary for additional support.
  • Maintains an aggressive annual training and learning regimen to remain on top of emerging technologies and industrial networking design practices.

The Preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from a college or technical school and 0-2 years of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination professional training and experience.
