Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Department of Health Behavior is one of seven departments in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina. Founded in 1943, the Department develops, and disseminates knowledge and interventions that promotes the health of individuals and communities. The Department's 25 faculty members have backgrounds in behavioral science, health education, international health, social and cognitive psychology, medicine, medical sociology, and communications, and are united by their commitment to the disciplines of public health together with the social and behavioral sciences.
Position Summary
Despite widespread availability of antiretroviral therapy ( ART) in the United States, many people living with HIV fail to achieve or maintain viral suppression. We are conducting a study ( EPI- LOVE) aimed at enrolling a digital cohort of approximately 1,000 people living with HIV in the United States and following them over time.

REMAIN (Retain, Maintain, Sustain) is a smartphone app designed to assist underserved populations and help them stay in HIV care and maintain their ART medication adherence. This study is now in the retention phase. This position will be supervised by Nora Rosenberg, a UNC-based co-investigator with routine support from the Project Director based at UCLA.

Position description and duties
* Support participant follow-up and ensuring compliance with our confidentiality and privacy protocols.
* Support other tasks as needed to screen, enroll, and retain participants in the EPI- LOVE study.
* Support digital technology and data coordination, for example between the REMAIN app, Redcap, labs, and other vendors.
* Support with other research activities as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
Familiarity with the challenges experienced by people living with HIV
Spanish language proficiency
Special Physical/Mental Requirements
