Boston Government Services, LLC., (BGS) is seeking a Nuclear Operations Specialist that can support multiple clients on projects requiring extensive experience in nuclear facility operations and safety performance within and between reactors and nuclear facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Support day-to-day nuclear operations in accordance with established procedures, technical requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure compliance with DOE, NRC, and applicable federal, state, and site-specific regulations.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, safety, and quality organizations to support operational readiness.
  • Review and support development of operating procedures, work packages, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in operational assessments, audits, and readiness reviews.
  • Support event investigations, corrective actions, and lessons learned initiatives.
  • Promote and uphold a strong nuclear safety culture across all activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. engineering or a closely related discipline. A high school diploma or equivalent with relevant technical experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of work experience with operational and/or safety performance of reactors and nuclear facilities.
  • Experience in project and organizational management.
  • Successful drug screen.
  • Candidate must either possess or be eligible to obtain a US Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 20+ years of work experience with operational and/or safety performance of reactors and nuclear facilities.
  • Active Q or TS clearance.
  • Experience in development of strategies and plans for construction or modifying nuclear facility infrastructure.

Location/Work Arrangement:

  • Onsite in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
  • Schedule is full-time, 40-hour work week.
