Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Storeroom Coordinator As a Storeroom Coordinator you will be responsible for organizing and maintaining exiting facility inventory, ordering and establishing delivery of all facility materials and acting as a liaison between the facility and established vendors.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Organizes and maintains an accurate inventory of all spare parts and tools
  • Maintains work order system; receives work order and tracks, closes and files them
  • Orders and establishes the delivery of all materials for plant operations such as safety gear, chemicals, operational supplies, equipment and equipment rentals
  • Serves as a liaison between the facility and vendors for shipment and payment status
  • Creates, codes, and receives purchase orders for facility materials
  • Utilizes fork truck to pick up and unload shipments from trucks; sorts materials and places in proper storage area or delivers to the appropriate departments
  • Acts as the local point of contact for corporate Accounts Payable, wire transfer needs, check requests and supplier setup
  • Maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the financial system and associated processes; provides system guidance and training to others as needed
  • Determines the taxable status of purchases and assists with the monthly accrual process
  • Utilizes tracking system of movement of materials in and out of inventory storage
  • Maintains the ability to respond to infrequent after-hours calls as needed
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization


Education

- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associates degree in accounting or related field (preferred)


Experience

  • 1+ years of experience managing vendor relationships and agreements (preferred)
  • Fork-truck certification/experience (preferred); applicable training will be provided upon hire
