The Project Engineer may be expected to work on projects both inside and outside the nuclear facility footprint. Projects can vary from modifications to accredited nuclear safety systems, to renovations of office spaces, and everything in between. Regardless of project size, complexity, duration, or cost, the selected candidate will be expected to be the primary champion and facilitator of all technical aspects of the project and will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of high-quality technical design documentation throughout the entire life of the project. The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management. position will work with internal (LANL) and external (subcontract) resources to execute projects and will have a direct impact on the United States' nuclear weapons stockpile stewardship and nuclear weapons modernization programs This position has the potential to support 24/7 operations in the future. What You Need Minimum Job Requirements: - Advanced knowledge and experience in managing technical teams and interfacing with other engineering disciplines All Project Engineers will be required to be qualified as an Administrative Subcontract Technical Representative (AdSTR) within 3 months of their hiring date Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and a minimum of 15 years of practical work experience necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above. | |
