Job Title: Analyzing Technician Duration: 4+ months \| Possible extension through the end of the year based on performances and needs of the business) Location: Elgin IL 60124 Worksite: Onsite \| 1st Shift (6:00 am - 2:15 pm) \| 2nd shift (2.45pm - 11pm) Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Analysis Technician to join our dedicated team for the 1st shift. Based at our state-of-the-art facility, you will be responsible for board-level analysis of failed 2-way subscriber products, including both mobile and portable 2-way radios. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic assemblies to identify root causes of failures. Roles and Responsibilities Analyze rejected electronic assemblies using various test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting skills. Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems, define corrective actions, and communicate findings effectively. Identify vendor versus process defects and write detailed failure analysis reports. Record failure data and clearly explain diagnoses. Work independently and adapt to varying conditions. Support factory operations on weekends when required. Qualifications & Skills Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology required (Bachelor's preferred). Proficiency in operating and setting up electronic test equipment, including signal generators, modulation/audio analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and oscilloscopes. RF knowledge with 1-3 years of related experience. Ability to read and interpret schematics for component-level troubleshooting is a plus. Extensive knowledge of 2-way subscriber products is a plus. Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills required. 100% onsite presence required. Steel toe boots are mandatory.
