The Assistant Fitness and Wellness Program Director is an experienced leader for a non-credited recreational or sports program. Designs, creates, implements and instructs recreational programs for participants of all ages. Required to demonstrate considerable discretion, initiative, and independence to resolve issues and perform other duties as assigned. The Assistant Fitness and Wellness Program Director manages and coordinates the Personal Training, Personal Training Certification, Exercise is Medicine, FitLife Mobile, and Strength Training class programs including developing the program objectives, strategizing program improvements, and developing policies and procedures with the Fitness & Wellness Program Director. The Assistant Fitness and Wellness Program Director will be responsible for designing and implementing the new Exercise is Medicine program with the Fitness and Wellness Program Director and in partnership with Student Health & Well-being. Strategizes with Marketing team on revenue generating programs and promotions. Reviews income and expense budgets and determines pricing. Conducts market research to ensure pricing and wages are in line with local region. Performs the recruitment, selection, and provides work direction and training to personal trainers. Ensures compliance with quality assurance and safety standards. Coordinates in-service training for all program staff. Establishes and maintains appropriate liaisons with other departments and outreach activities. The Assistant Fitness and Wellness Program Director acts as a campus-wide wellness presenter and provides consultation. Manages inventory, including keeping database up to date and securing item identification to equipment, of Recreation Fitness Gyms and Housing, Dining, and Hospitality Residential Gyms, including items of significant value. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $55,400 - $93,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $26.53 - $44.92 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
