What You'll Do:

Work to support daily operations within the Supply Chain Team. Responsible for PO entry and daily PO reviews through the completion of a project requirement. Working with the PM team members you are assigned to, to work on packages requiring assembly. Working to complete new vendor set-up, CTPAT documentation, quote requests, and annual pricing agreements. Purchasing and management of office supplies, building contracts and support quality system practices. Working with the PS Leads to ensure internal customers are receiving updates as needed, on lead times communicated by vendors, if jobs are affected. Working with vendors as it relates to the set up and maintenance of strategic vendor managed stocking levels. Manage current vendors in which we have vendor managed stock agreements.

Essential Functions:

  • Support Project Managers with their new and existing orders.
  • Maintaining and updating the related MPO, MFPO and MRO's, while working closely with production to release work orders in a timely manner, in alignment with our external customers requested delivery timelines.
  • Managing and providing weekly reports in Microsoft Teams, to the PMs and the PS Lead for production order shortages and any changes to upcoming schedules.
  • Work with vendors as it relates to all components for production builds, focusing on major component delays.
  • Support Project Managers with their new and existing orders by submitting Purchase Orders in a timely manner. Maintain and update the related MPO, MFPO and MRO's reservations and due dates.
  • Work closely with the PM and production to release work orders in a timely manner, which needs to be in alignment with the production order due dates.
  • Managing day to day relations with our vendors as it relates to the status of quote requests, PO submission and approvals, delivery dates, strategic pricing and forecasting. Help to identify new possible vendors to diversify vendor network, shorten lead times, and/or gain profitability through pricing negotiations.
  • Update and maintain copies of Purchase Orders in the job folders and ERP with the most current information, to allow visibility for reporting purposes for both internal and external teams.
  • Work with Quality to support documentation requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Assist with inventory counts and process improvements.
  • Able to work in a team environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and able to handle multiple tasks.\
  • Identifying what needs to be done and doing it before being asked, or before the situation requires it. Generates ideas for improvement.
  • Interacts with people effectively and supportively; puts group goals ahead of own goals.
  • Assist PS Leads as requested.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Able to be self-directed in completing your work and assigned tasks.
Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

High School or Associates Degree Required and or equivalent work experience.

Area of Study:

Sourcing, Procurement, Mechanical Engineering; or equal related work experience.

Specialized Training:

Previous experience in the water or wastewater industry, preferred

Experience (yrs):

2 to 5 years related experience

Software/Applications:

  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Able to create, use, navigate and perform reports at an Intermediate level of proficiency with the following software applications: Intelex, Nitro PDF, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Job Specific Software: Basic ability to create, use and retrieve project related information from AS400/SAP, Configurator, Win Retrieval, SIS server, ERP.

Other:

  • Travel is required: Less than 5%
  • Intermediate Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Customer Related Onsite Safety.
  • Telecommuting and/or Flexible Work Schedule: Yes, with manager approval.
