The Chief of Staff creates scale for the Chief Sales Officer. They drive key priorities, help drive accountability and execution for the team. The ideal candidate will have a unique combination of emotional intelligence, operations & administration, project management, and executive presence. The Chief of Staff will lead through influence and have a deep understanding and exposure to a variety of business areas. This role requires the ability to orchestrate many items while also being able to zoom into and out of details quickly to ensure information is being surfaced to the CSO in a timely manner.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with CSO to set, manage, and drive top CSO priorities

  • Establish deep strategic and collaborative relationships across the team and functional partners to ensure offerings address core business needs and challenges

  • Partner with CSO's EA to prioritize and enhance calendar activities and extend the bandwidth of the CSO. Ensure the CSO is appropriately briefed for each internal and external activity.

  • Actively drive the business strategy (e.g. V2MOM) - inclusive of architecting and updating the V2MOM, and managing progress against it

  • Manage CSO's priorities, liaise with the leadership team and business partners on key initiatives. Aid in escalation, delegation, and resolution.

  • Communicate with urgency and appropriate discretion and transparency to keep the CSO, leadership team, and partners informed and aligned.

  • Create an operational rhythm for the Office of the CEO. Design and implement processes to increase CSO productivity & impact and create structure and focus for the team.

  • Act as a thought partner and advisor to executives preparing for key review and planning meetings.

  • Oversee customer engagement and participation in key industry and Salesforce events

  • Represent the CSO in internal and external meetings, as appropriate.

  • Lead the Office of the CSO, including teams responsible for operations, events, philanthropic priorities. Own and manage the budget.

  • Orchestrate appropriate information flow to accelerate the business and enhance CSO impact

  • Assuming or delegating day-to-day responsibility for projects and tasks amongst the team, ensuring follow-up and follow-through

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of applicable administrative experience, ideally from a global software organization.

  • The skillful execution of administrative activities, with high attention to detail, organization, and process.

  • Skillful in collaboration and diplomacy to ensure smooth working relationships across matrixed teams.

  • Experience with the setting up and management of virtual meetings and tools e.g., GoToMeeting, GoToWebinar, Google Hangouts, and conference calls.

  • Strong relationship management skills, ability to build a personal network throughout the company.

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, mail, and calendaring skills (Gmail and Google Calendar experience a plus).

  • Project Coordination experience is needed at an intermediate complexity.

  • Ability to work successfully at both the strategic and tactical level.

  • Strong oral and written communication. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with senior leaders and external partners.

  • Previous experience partnering with senior management in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

  • Very strong technical competency, specifically with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, and Google Calendar.

  • Internal Salesforce experience or experience with the Salesforce application a plus.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of applicable education, training and experience will be considered.
