Join the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital team as a Lead Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Oncology Ambulatory Services Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant group.

Position Overview: As the Lead NP or PA for the Oncology Ambulatory Services NP/PA team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and assisting in complex Oncology procedures. You will collaborate closely with the Oncology team, support staff, and medical leadership to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence. This role requires a deep understanding of Oncology procedures, patient management, and the ability to lead a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and supervise the Oncology NP and PA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Collaborate with Oncologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist in Oncology treatments and procedures, providing expert clinical judgment and technical expertise.
  • Manage patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, protocols, and pathways for Oncology patients.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in research activities.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, open communication, and professional development within the team.


Qualifications:



  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing with specialization as an Acute or Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. Masters degree as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Nurse Practitioner certification in Acute or Primary Care. Current State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in APP Oncology care, with a strong background in Oncology treatments and procedures.
  • Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead and manage a healthcare team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Oncology care.

Salary Range: Minimum 58.60/hour - Maximum 90.83/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
