DESCRIPTION:

The mission of the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS) is to win the hearts and minds of non-Jews and Jews through powerful positive messaging and partnerships, motivating and equipping them to be defenders of and upstanders for Jews. FCAS focuses on spreading the Blue Square and associated programs to spur action by people of all backgrounds. Working with a network of partners, FCAS leverages unique monitoring technology to drive effective rapid response to Jewish hate and all hate, in addition to proactive programs that galvanize popular support for the Jewish community.

SUMMARY:

The Lead Analyst will be passionate about using data and research for deeply understanding and supporting FCAS' efforts to educate and engage people in standing up to Jewish hate. As part of the FCAS Command Center, this role will lead monitoring and analysis using social media listening tools and provide research analysis on specific topics and trends. They will also provide information and analysis on topics to be shared with online audiences or in support of specific FCAS initiatives. They will also work with FCAS partner organizations to provide information and data around antisemitism topics and trends to support their mission.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  1. Lead data analyses utilizing FCAS's Command Center technology monitoring online conversations regarding antisemitism.
  2. Manage customized Brandwatch installation to optimize queries for how data is brought into the monitoring system and how it is classified.
  3. Discover insights that will inform overall marketing strategy, weekly newsletter content, regular partner communications, and daily social media content.
  4. Identify and research specific topics and trends regarding antisemitism and hate.
  5. Lead the planning, content, and execution of the Command Center weekly email newsletter.
  6. Coordinate and create monthly reports for external partners.
  7. Lead the creation of custom presentations and reports for high-level visitors, such as university presidents, on the conversation trends localized to their community.
  8. Identify and research specific topics and trends regarding antisemitism and hate as business needs dictate.
  9. Review content, including studies and social media posts, from partners and aligned groups and make recommendations for sharing and cross promotion.
  10. Liaise with partner organizations to support their usage of Command Center technology and research.
  11. Provide guidance to post-graduate fellows in daily research, analysis, and reporting projects.
  12. Provide input to Command Center leader to support the development and management of technology/tools.
  13. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  14. Responsible for the creation, maintenance and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by Confidentiality and Privacy Standards see Mass Regulations on Personal Identity Regulations and HIPAA.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of prior experience in an office environment, including internships.
  • Strong understanding of historical and current topics related to antisemitism, Jewish community, and Israel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media tools (Brandwatch experience preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure partnership activity is integrated across the foundation's activities.
  • Extremely organized and proactive with the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced team environment.
