Mechanical Technician and Prototypist

In this role, you will contribute directly to shaping new product concepts from early vision through development and prototyping. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help define product architecture, develop functional and aesthetic models, and support prototype production to bring innovative ideas to life.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Contribute to shaping the vision that drives the development of new types of innovative products

  • Contribute to the development of product architecture and to all development phases

  • Develop and communicate strategies that steer the organization toward new and innovative product offerings

  • Work on different steps of the product development process in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team

  • Participate in the development of components and follow up on the production and assembly of prototypes

  • Manage various tasks according to set deadlines

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Required:

  • Mechanical aptitude in combustion and high and low voltage electrical propulsion systems

  • Proficiency in physical modeling in a variety of materials (Ex : Clay/Foam/Wood/Metal/Etc)

  • Proven ability to create functional and aesthetic partial scale and full scale models

  • Willingness to travel on occasion

  • Passion for both innovation and innovating

  • Fluency in English

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in FRP/Carbon, unique part, and mold making using all relevant approaches to construction (open/closed mold, vacuum bag, etc)

  • Basic abilities to weld and metal fabrication

  • Keen interest in recreational powersports products

  • Good knowledge of on-water products is an asset

  • Strong work-ethic, aspiration to continuously grow and learn
