The opportunity

The Vice President of Enterprise Architecture reports to the Chief Information Officer. This strategic technology leader will define, govern, and advance the enterprise-wide architecture vision. The vision will support the organization's long-term business goals. This executive role guides and influences the enterprise, solution, data, and infrastructure architecture domains to ensure technology decisions are aligned, scalable, secure, and optimized for future growth. The Vice President serves as an important advisor to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and executive leadership team, driving technology modernization, digital transformation, and architectural discipline across the enterprise.

This position is hybrid and requires onsite work at our Manchester, NH headquarters. #LIHybrid

What You'll Do:

  • Develop the enterprise architecture vision, roadmap, and operating model according to business strategy.
  • Collaborate on IT Services and AI initiatives, partnering with senior leadership to support alignment and execution.
  • Partner with senior business and technology leaders to shape multiyear digital transformation and modernization plans.
  • Translate business strategies into relevant technology architecture plans, principles, and standards.
  • Establish and lead architecture governance processes, decision-making frameworks, and technical review boards.
  • Establish architecture standards, patterns, and reference architecture across the organization.
  • Ensure technical architectures support security, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  • Evaluate latest technologies and industry trends; provide guidance on their relevance and adoption.
  • Bring cloud strategy, application modernization, data platform evolution, and enterprise integration strategies.
  • Promote innovation by promoting a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide architectural oversight for major programs and projects, ensuring understanding to enterprise standards.
  • Guide solution architects and engineers in designing scalable, resilient, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Be an escalation point for complex architectural decisions and cross-domain design issues.
  • Lead a high-performing solution architecture organization.
  • Foster a collaborative, forward-thinking culture focused on delivering value.
  • Manage budgets, capacity planning, and resource allocation for architecture functions.
  • Partner with IT operations, cybersecurity, and engineering leaders to ensure architecture is practical, supportable, and efficient.
  • Oversee development of architecture artifacts (e.g., capability maps, roadmaps, standards, and repositories).
  • Track architectural health, technical debt, and understanding to strategic goals.
  • Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential functions of this role.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise or solution architecture.
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles, overseeing direct reports and strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Certifications: TOGAF, Zachman, AWS/Azure Architecture, or similar.
  • Deep expertise across multiple technology domains (cloud, application architecture, data architecture, integration, security).
  • Experience leading enterprisescale transformations with strong executive communication, strategic business acumen, collaborative leadership, and the ability to influence and drive change in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience navigating regulated or highly complex industries, including financial services, healthcare, or government sectors.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $200,000.00 - $400,000.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
