Position Summary
The Software Engineer is responsible for applying disciplined engineering principles to the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of complex software systems. This role supports the reliability, performance, and maintainability of software solutions and may involve working with large-scale systems containing millions of lines of code. Positions are available at the Entry, Intermediate, and Senior levels based on qualifications and experience.



Responsibilities for a Software Engineer I

  • Applies basic knowledge of software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures



  • Assists with software requirements, design, development, testing, and maintenance activities



  • Performs tasks under general supervision with limited independent judgment



  • Collaborates with team members and reports to a supervisor or manager



Responsibilities for Software Engineer II, Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures



  • Uses experience and judgment to plan and execute project goals



  • Contributes to software architecture, design, development, testing, and maintenance



  • May lead or direct the work of others


Software Engineer I

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred



  • 1-5 years of experience in software engineering or a related field



  • Experience with nuclear systems is a plus




Software Engineer II

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree may be preferred



  • 5-12 years of experience in software engineering or a related field
