Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Site - Weekends in Kapolei, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet and assist personnel and visitors, support access control procedures, and document observations using provided technology. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures and policies at a government location, and assisting with access control and visitor processing as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entry points, gates, and restricted areas; verify identification and/or authorization in accordance with post orders and report discrepancies through the designated chain of communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and coordinating with appropriate on-site personnel.
  • Prepare complete and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and noteworthy observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access Control and/or Badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
