Dispatcher - Diagnostic Transport

Scope of Position
Responsible for coordinating and communicating Medical Center cleaning request by dispatching patient transporters to various transport requests. The Ohio State Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients, visitors and staff. This position encompasses communication and coordination.
Position Summary
Medical Center standards require all transports to be completed within 35 minutes from activation to completed. The Patient Transport Dispatcher is responsible for assessing customer needs, coordinating transportation workers to meet customer requests, and delivering Service Excellence. This position is also responsible for preparing and maintaining periodic reports and records related to: Patient Transportation and promotes teamwork through mutual respect for associates, developing positive interpersonal relationships and lending assistance as needed.

Required Qualifications
7th grade education plus: may require 1 course in typing (or 1 mo. exp.); 1 course in public relations (or 1 mo. exp.); or equivalent.
