ATI Chief Operating Officer Air Transport International (ATI) is a US passenger and cargo airline headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio. ATI holds an FAA Part 121 Air Carrier Certificate and numerous charter and scheduled passenger and cargo certificates issued by the US DOT for worldwide and domestic operations. ATI also holds Air Operator Certificates issued by many foreign countries, reflecting ATI's global operational presence. ATI is subsidiary of Air Transport Services Group, Inc., a leading provider of passenger and cargo transportation and services related to air carriers and other enterprises that outsource their airlift requirements. ATI is seeking a candidate for the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) reporting to the President, ATI. The COO sets high standards, defines the business strategy, and executes the strategy through the Vice Presidents of Flight and Technical Operations. This position is responsible for the day-to-day safe, compliant, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the Airline. Requirements: * 15 years of experience leading airline technical organizations demonstrating teambuilding, development, and execution of business strategy in fast paced multi-tasking environments * Demonstrated competence in obtaining results through high performing teams with a clear focus on safety, goals & accountability, communication, and knowledge of the business * Demonstrated strategic thinking and diagnostic competence in financial & analytical skills * Strong financial & analytical skills - including P & L responsibility * Excellent communication skills supporting their interaction with all levels from employees to customers to shareholders * Written, verbal, listening and presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of employees, management, customers, and other stakeholders * Bachelor's degree - in business, aviation management, engineering or related field; MBA Preferred * Computer skills necessary to support strategy development, analysis, project management and communication * Working knowledge of FAR 121 operations * Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance * Travel as required to meet business needs Duties and responsibilities: * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the airline. Through the Vice Presidents of Flight and Technical Operations, ensures that the operational departments are communicating effectively and working as a coordinated and efficient system enabling safe, profitable & cost competitive operations. * Keep the President and Leadership team aware of significant events affecting the Airline * Manage and report results of safety measures, operating costs & performance compared to established work plans & budgets. Establishes & monitors key metrics. Develop & maintain continuous improvement and cost reduction processes appropriate to monitor safe, efficient use of resources. * Assist in the development of the overall strategic direction and business plan.
