UMass Memorial Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hematology/Oncology Division in an Acute Care/Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider (APP) role. This position is ideal for an experienced oncology APP who thrives in a fast-paced, complex clinical environment and values autonomy, collaboration, and high-impact patient care. Position Overview: The Acute Care/Urgent Care APP functions as a generalist across hematologic malignancies, solid tumor oncology, and infusion services. This new role is designed to provide real-time clinical triage, urgent patient evaluation, and operational support for attending physicians, infusion services, and outpatient oncology clinics. Serving as a first-call provider for patient concerns, this APP independently manages urgent evaluations, supports infusion-related complexity, provides flexible clinic coverage, and enhances access to timely oncology care. The role requires advanced clinical judgment, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to manage multiple competing demands while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
