A global professional services organization in the Kansas City Metro is hiring a Finance Analyst II to own budgeting, cost allocations, and spend reporting for corporate shared services. This role partners closely with Finance, Procurement, and senior stakeholders to improve controls, optimize overhead spend, and support data-driven decision making.


What you'll do


  • Build and manage the annual shared services budget; track decisions impacting future fiscal years



  • Produce recurring spend reporting: actuals, forecasts, variance to budget, allocations, and cost breakdowns



  • Review, approve, and allocate invoices; validate against contracts and expected spend



  • Implement costing and rebilling processes for qualifying expenses (e.g., legal matters/client cases as applicable)



  • Standardize cost allocation categories and reporting with local and global finance partners



  • Identify optimization opportunities through spend analysis and trend insights



  • Create/maintain financial controls and approval matrices across corporate overhead spend



  • Support project costing, projections, and ROI analysis



  • Partner with Procurement to improve Procure-to-Pay controls and processes



  • Assist with internal and external audits and ad hoc senior leadership requests




What we're looking for


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related (preferred)



  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas/functions; ability to build scalable models)



  • Experience with corporate overhead spend and/or IT spend (preferred)



  • Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost allocation



  • Comfortable presenting insights to senior stakeholders; able to drive clarity and follow-through



  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment




Big plus


  • Power BI (or similar dashboard/visualization tools)



  • Law firm environment or revenue cycle exposure



  • Experience with 3E and/or Chrome River
