Advantage Technical is hiring a Mechanical Engineer - Medical Devices to support a high-profile R&D acquisition and integration project within the urology medical device space. This hybrid engineering role offers the opportunity to work on a nerve stimulation device for overactive bladder, helping bridge design history files to a world-class quality system.

Pay Rate: Up to $58/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm

Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Arden Hills, MN

Duration: 10-month assignment (possible extension)

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a critical role in aligning an acquired company's Design History File (DHF) with established medical device quality systems, ensuring compliance across design controls, risk management, and verification testing.

What You'll Do:



  • Identify and close gaps between existing DHF documentation and quality system SOPs and work instructions
  • Support integration of a trial nerve stimulator medical device used in urology applications
  • Contribute to Design FMEAs, design verification, test method validation, DV protocols, reports, and requirements traceability
  • Communicate technical risks, progress, and trade-offs to cross-functional leadership
  • Deliver clear, compliant engineering documentation aligned with FDA and ISO standards




What You Bring:



  • BS or higher in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electromechanical Engineering
  • 4+ years of medical device R&D or quality engineering experience (2+ with MS)
  • Strong background in systems engineering, verification testing, and regulated product development
  • Experience with DHF remediation, design controls, and risk management
  • Willingness to travel (~10%) to Irvine, CA
