https://parking.uark.edu Summary of Job Duties:The Marketing Specialist II position is responsible for promoting and communicating transit and parking services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Duties include: building a comprehensive student ambassador program; leading the creation of marketing content and creative elements for flyers, emails, and social media, partnering with internal teams to inform the campus community about transit and parking options, policies and changes, managing digital content related to transit and parking on university websites and social media platforms; coordinating campaigns for permit sales, alternative transportation options, and special event parking; conducting surveys or collecting feedback to improve user experience; collaborating with campus departments to ensure consistent messaging and outreach; and assisting with signage, branding, and promotional events related to parking and transportation. This position blends communications, customer service, and strategic outreach to support efficient campus mobility. This position may require work outside of normal business hours.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing,journalism,business,or related area of study from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least twoyears experienceinmarketing, branding, communications, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on community initiatives

  • Graduate degree in management, marketing, business or related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and AdobeInDesign

  • Experience with email and database marketing

  • Experience with directing videoboard and event run of show elements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

  • Ability to organize and precisely execute a game script

  • Strong time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills
