Job Summary

This occasional position will provide technical and scientific guidance for human neuroimaging facilities and operations in the Caltech Brain Imaging Center (CBIC) and provide critical strategic planning input to the HSS Division Chair regarding the future of the CBIC's human neuroimaging equipment and related operational issues.The position requires the candidate to have Level 3 MR Safety training or equivalent, with preference given to candidates with prior experience training others to at least Level 1.

Essential Job Duties
  • Experimental design, imaging protocol development and scientific image analysis support.
  • Strategic planning and operational guidance to the Division regarding the CBIC.
  • Basic safety (Level 1) and advanced scanner operation (superuser) training for human research MRI.
  • Technical and human subjects research support for new and ongoing MRI experiments.
Basic Qualifications
  • Ph.D. with at least 10 years of experience in an academic or industrial research setting.
  • Strong track record of senior or director-level research administration for shared instrument resources with emphasis on human MRI facilities.
  • Strong publication history in MRI physics and/or engineering with emphasis on human neuroimaging.

Hiring Range

$51.50 - $105.75 Per Hour

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
