As a Business Intelligence Analyst for Central Fill at McKesson Corporation, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiencies within our central fill pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy, and providing critical analytical support to optimize our high-volume dispensing processes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and interactive visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services) to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for central fill operations.
  • Data Extraction & Transformation: Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various source systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency for analytical purposes.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Analyze operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency gains within central fill facilities.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, IT, and leadership to understand business needs, define reporting requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Data Model Design: Assist in the design and development of robust data models and data warehouses to support scalable and efficient BI solutions.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct deep-dive ad-hoc analyses to answer specific business questions, present findings, and recommend data-driven solutions to management.
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain detailed documentation for BI solutions, reports, and processes. Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and reports.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor data quality checks to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of central fill data.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Experience can be utilized as alternative to degree.
  • Experience:5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a supply chain, manufacturing, or healthcare operations environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis is essential.
  • Strong experience with at least one major BI tool (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, QlikView/Qlik Sense) for dashboard and report development.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis is a plus.
  • Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data in an understandable and actionable manner.
  • Domain Knowledge: Understanding of central fill pharmacy operations, logistics, supply chain, or high-volume manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Initiative: Proactive approach to identifying and addressing business challenges through data analysis.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $80,600 - $134,300
