Summary

Willdan Lighting and Electric (WLE), a subsidiary of Willdan, is seeking a Service Provider Manager to support the New York City Accelerator program in New York, NY. NYC Accelerator helps building owners comply with Local Law 97 by connecting them to qualified service providers, tools, and resources that support energy efficiency and decarbonization projects.

This role is responsible for managing and strengthening the program's service provider network, ensuring providers are qualified, supported, and effectively integrated into the Momentum platform to support successful project delivery.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the service provider network, including qualification, onboarding, and ongoing participation in the Momentum platform.
  • Lead RFQ and RFP processes, including provider verification, informational sessions, and tracking applications and inquiries.
  • Maintain the Service Provider Online Directory, ensuring accurate, consistent, and user-friendly provider profiles.
  • Support service providers in using Momentum, troubleshooting issues, and navigating RFPs, inquiries, and project workflows.
  • Monitor provider performance, including ratings, feedback, and complaints; escalate issues and manage underperforming providers as needed.
  • Identify gaps in the provider network and recruit new businesses to address market, geographic, or service-area needs.
  • Support development of standardized scopes of work to promote clear project requirements and consistent bidding.
  • Proactively gather and analyze provider feedback to inform continuous process and platform improvements.
  • Integrate equity goals into provider engagement, including outreach and support for MWBE firms and businesses located in Disadvantaged Communities.
  • Coordinate service provider trainings, webinars, and engagement activities in collaboration with the NYC Accelerator team.
  • Track and report on service provider activity, performance metrics, and trends to support program strategy and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, partners, and city agencies to meet program objectives.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or building related field and/or minimum 3 years relevant work experience with building contractors, property management firms, energy efficiency, clean energy, and/or electrification programs, energy sales, and/or incentive programs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required for engaging diverse NYC building stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Experience with project management platforms and CRM's.
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with our clients and internal staff.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Sound reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking abilities to serve clients in real time.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Ability to attend events in NYC as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with real estate stakeholders and contractor communities.
  • Working knowledge of energy efficiency, clean energy and electrification products and services.
  • Familiarity with NYC local energy laws and building related compliance and policies.
  • Salesforce proficiency.
