LAW ENFORCMENT TRAINING INSTRUCTOR DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND INSURANCE TRAINING NASHVILLE, TN ANNUAL SALARY: $59,892.00 - $89,004.00 Closing Date: 02/24/2026

Who we are and what we do:

Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) TLETA strives to provide service to government agencies through police science and administrative education programs for officers at all levels of responsibility; provide timely and relevant information to officers who attend these training programs, which increases their capabilities to better serve their departments and citizens of the State of Tennessee; and be the center of law enforcement training for all law enforcement officers.

How you make a difference in this role:

By providing knowledge and experience to an ever-changing and evolving pool of new aspiring law enforcement officers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce and execute lesson plans on an assortment of Law Enforcement specific topics and activities.
  2. Provide information to the students in an easy-to-understand method.
  3. Be an example for future law enforcement officers through discipline and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  1. Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree or the equivalent in years of service/experience as an active certified law enforcement officer.
  2. Three years of full time responsible law enforcement experience.
