The Storeroom Technician is responsible for the maintaining the storeroom. They are responsible for inventory control, cleanliness, documentation of the storeroom, and accurately maintaining materials in SAP. The Storeroom Technician is responsible for being aware of inventory levels for both the production and maintenance departments. The Storeroom Technician escalates discrepancies, and orders replacement parts as needed. This position also offers key support to Warehouse, Sourcing, Maintenance and Production through cycle counting, raw material handling, PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicles/forklift) support and training.

Primary Process Responsibilities
- Lives the Owens Corning Safety Stand and meets all safety requirements. Safety is a condition of employment.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for storeroom setup and processes
- Routinely create OPLs for shared process knowledge/improvement cases
- Operate industrial equipment (PIV/forklift, Overhead Crane, Aerial Lift)
- Manage materials in SAP, including issuing, receiving, and processing returns
- Manage outbound shipments (samples, spare parts)
- Create BOLs as needed for spares being sent out for refurbishment
- Receive and deliver packages promptly, maintaining document integrity
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and materials management, including consignment items, items on and off-site
- Assist with repairs and maintain the Master Database of supplies
- Identify and locate spare parts
- Maintain storeroom organization and housekeeping
- Use general tools as needed
- Identify and solve process problems
- Maintain kickouts, GRNIs, and Open PO reports on a weekly basis, escalating persistent issues to appropriate team

- Identify problems and works with the appropriate functions to create solutions
- Train and mentor employees as needed for certain processes or procedures related to the job
- Create and deliver training and materials as needed to new hires and/or and current employees

- Participate in MRO/buyer calls and activities
SAP Knowledge
- Able to add bill of material (BOM) to equipment
- Assign material to work order before it gets executed (Charge for material)
- Create purchase requisitions for material and non-material
- Create purchase orders for material and non-material replacement parts, as well as miscellaneous plant items
- Maintain accuracy of info records, and source lists
- Search and find material in the stock room
- Search and find approved vendors, sources, and service providers
- Review stock reports for repeat or obsolete items
- Reconcile physical inventory in storeroom with SAP
- Assign material bin locations to new created materials
- Able to find material used on specific equipment
- Add and set up spare part profile via Matreq
Coupa Knowledge
- Add, maintain, and assist changes to vendors
- Extend vendors from other plants, edit payment terms as needed
- Issue purchase orders through punchout catalogs
- Maintain document flow of invoices/invoice issues through Coupa system
Maintain Efficient Communications
- Sustains effective communication with all relevant parties to maintain a customer focus - both internal and external
- Schedules delivery appointments
- Customer service with vendors/audits
- Run and consolidate information from various reports, report on KPI's
- Maintains accurate and timely logs as required
- Assists in resolving supplier and customer complaints by providing relevant information
- Participates in shift huddles and meetings as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal guidance
- Inventory tracking experience
- Ability to operate a PIV and Crane
- 3-5 years working in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of SAP or other inventory management systems
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience working in Microsoft Outlook, Excel (run reports through SAP, track metrics) and Word skills
