Summary

As a KDB Lead you'll make sure equipment is utilized efficiently to meet demand. You'll have team members under your supervision, and you'll make sure that the team remains engaged in their training goals. You'll assign and delegate tasks based on their individual competent level to optimize results. In addition to meeting our day-to-day processing metrics, you'll hold and facilitate discussions during pre-shift and/or batch meetings in the absence of a supervisor. Employee safety is paramount. Therefore, you'll actively participate in completing near misses, safety incident investigations, and preventative actions.

Responsibilities
  • Must provide guidelines to operators on their daily task and use their feedback to adjust the production process. This includes any deviation brought to your attention.
  • Periodically review production documents to make sure operating KPIs are met - pH, solids, white mass proteins, and more. Report any nonconformance to management and complete RCA investigation.
  • Proactively make judgements on white mass distribution based on filler performances and follow escalation policy for any anticipated downtime.
  • Must hold team members accountable for violating Chobani's safety, quality and GMP procedures.
  • Must be willing to work with members of other departments to investigate safety incidents and complete safety reports.
  • Must be attentive to details and willing to work with PM crews to plan equipment PMs and schedule equipment CIPs to prevent conflicts.
  • Must work with R&D to plan trials and pull the necessary samples for their trials.
  • Must participate during state audits to make equipment available for teardown and inspections
  • Must have or gain knowledge of HTST and be able to plan batching appropriately after every batch meeting.
  • Must be available as a resource for engineering and contractors during shutdowns, startups and new machine commissioning.
Requirements
  • Dairy manufacturing experience preferred 1-3 years
  • Separator, processing, and CIP experience
  • High mechanical proficiency
  • Computer Skills
  • Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Procedures) and SQF (Safe Quality Foods)
  • Stand and walk for 12 hours, work in a loud and fast paced environment, wear PPE, lift 75 lbs, and bend over and kneel
  • Serve as back up in the absence of KDB Operator and Processing Supervisor

The salary range for this full-time position is$29.50-$42.00, + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
