New Hanover County Health Department is seeking an administrative professional to join the Support Services division of the Public Health Department as an
Administrative Technician. This full-time position, funded through WIC state grant funds, will assist with the registration of patients/clients for multiple clinics to include WIC. Duties will also include appointment scheduling; medical records; answering and directing calls; greeting customers, performing data entry, and providing referral information while providing superior customer service. Candidates must be able to maintain confidentiality appropriately, multi-task and prioritize changing needs while maintaining a focus on quality and service.

Hours:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Must be available to report for emergency work assignment during emergency situations.
Salary Information:
The
hiring range
for this position is
$36,325 - $49,038.
Salary will be determined based on qualifications, internal equity, budget, and market considerations.
Bilingual candidates are eligible for a differential (5%) when performing Spanish language interpretation during the course of work.
Funding:
This is a grant funded position expected to last according to the availability of grant funding and/or the needs of the department.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) Two years of clerical, data entry, administrative support or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
