Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our customer in Colorado Springs, CO. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:
  • Work as part of our cross-disciplinary team responsible for developing weapons and navigation system hardware.
  • Schematic design and layout of hardware with FPGAs, DDR RAM (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) memory interfaces, and digital interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, SDIO).
  • Schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components
  • Use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment, experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools.
Here's what you'll get:
Pay: $62.15/hr
Hours: M-F, 9x80 schedule
Length: 12-month contract with possible opportunity of extension

Job Requirements

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces.
Here's what sets you apart from other candidates:
  • Master's Degree with 3 years of experience.
  • An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test.
  • Knowledge of Siemens expedition or similar tools for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions.
  • Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed.
