Position Description

Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Plan and execute departmental programs, aligning operations with institutional priorities and workforce needs. Oversee the full lifecycle of flexible learning and microcredential offerings, including approval, development, and management.
  • Lead operations for flexible learning and microcredentials, ensuring quality, scalability, and continuous improvement. Partner with academic, administrative, and industry stakeholders to expand innovative, industry-aligned credentialing that supports lifelong learning and professional development.
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director on strategic planning, policy and process development and execution, and cross-institutional initiatives, providing leadership in learner and stakeholder communication and engagement.
  • Work with internal and external partners to manage credentialing and other flexible learning systems and records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity, and generate reports to support.
  • Manage communication and outreach to learners, institutional units, employers, and community partners to plan, promote, and assess credentialing initiatives, enhancing institutional visibility and impact.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Knowledge of higher education or continuing education systems and procedures.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Graduate degree, certifications, or microcredentials in related areas.
  • Experience in administration of higher education or continuing education programs.

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
