Position Overview

Under the guidance of the Training & Development Manager, this position will be the primary facilitator for all Retail Classroom delivery, in-branch follow up and coaching. Additionally, as needs arise there will be opportunity to assist with the training and development needs for other teams across the Bank and our subsidiaries.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Participate in New Employee Orientation to provide initial welcome, UniBank introduction, key system access and policies overviews.
  • Conduct classroom and on-line training to provide relevant job information regarding transaction processing, laws, regulations, computer processing, bank policies and procedures, etc.
  • Organize, develop and/or obtain training procedure manuals, guides and course materials and learning tools.
  • Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
  • Offer specific training programs to help maintain or improve employee job skills.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs and material effectiveness and makes modifications as necessary.
  • Visit departments and branches to work with employees who are experiencing training related performance issues as needed.
  • Attend meetings to obtain information for use in training programs.
  • Stay current with various teaching methods by attending workshops and training sessions and reviewing professional publications.
  • Schedule classroom sessions and prepares the physical setup of the training room including system testing when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Education and Work Experience
  • Associate's level degree required, Bachelor's preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
  • ATD, CPTD or training related certification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of business experience with a strong focus on employee development, preferably in a sales or customer service environment.
  • Previous experience in banking preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding or education in organizational change management, organizational development, leadership development helpful.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles, various training methodologies & facilitation techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization through either written or verbal communication.
  • Experience with program/project management, with demonstrated ability to create accurate work plans, keep multiple projects on track, prioritize and deliver results.
  • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize own work.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and problem solve.
  • Strong computer and computer software skills and use of other technologies.
  • Ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.

This position is not subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all applicants for employment who will be engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements.

UniBank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The estimated salary for this position is $65,000.00 to $70,000.00. Final offer will be determined based on a particular candidate's unique combination of factors such as skills, education, experience and certifications.
