Cox Fleet, the largest independent fleet maintenance company in the country, is currently hiring a
Fleet Operations Supervisor. A Fleet Operations Supervisor provides frontline leadership, technical guidance, and operational oversight to technicians and support staff across assigned locations. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, strong client partnerships, and efficient fleet maintenance operations. The supervisor drives team performance, enforces safety and compliance standards, and partners cross-functionally to support operational goals and customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned clients, ensuring satisfaction, timely communication, and
- identification of opportunities for service and operational improvement.
- Provide leadership, coaching, development, and day-to-day direction for technicians and business support
- staff within assigned areas.
- Bridge communication between field technicians and clients, ensuring accurate updates, clear approvals, and
- high-quality service delivery.
- Prepare and present estimates, secure client approvals, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Partner with clients to forecast service needs, recommend solutions that increase uptime, improve reliability,
- and reduce costs.
- Create a collaborative work environment grounded in trust, respect, and alignment to organizational goals.
- Lead end-to-end operations including staffing, scheduling, workflow planning, quality review, and customer
- service execution.
- Monitor team performance, enforce safety protocols, and promote a culture of zero injuries.
- Manage vehicle operations including maintenance, compliance, reporting, scheduling, and assignment of fleet
- assets.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, support complex diagnostics, and provide field guidance to technicians.
- Establish and maintain relationships with local business partners to communicate and enforce corporate fleet
- policies and standards.
- Develop, track, and communicate key performance indicators to guide operational improvements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of invoices, purchase orders, procurement card submissions, maintenance
- records, and vehicle data.
- Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on workforce needs, employee relations, and issue escalation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field.
- The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 3 years' experience in a related field; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience.
- Knowledge of motor vehicle engines, parts, and systems, including their designs, uses, repair, and
- maintenance, to make repairs or perform maintenance services.
- Skilled in estimating, approvals, and parts procurement.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or
approaches to problems.
- Ability to determine the type of tools and equipment needed.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, including experiencing high-level business
discussions and low-level technical discussions to drive alignment and bring clarity to the overall vision.
- General understanding of the Department of Transportation (DOT), federal, state, and local regulations
affecting vehicle maintenance operations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

USD 55,600.00 - 83,400.00 per year
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $55,600.00 - $83,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
