Space Force - QA Automation and Manual Tester - (Sign-On Bonus Available)

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a Software Integrator and Tester for the SDA GMI program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our ground operational systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues and ensure our software meets the highest standards.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

Integration and Testing:

* Perform manual and automated testing to validate system functionality

* Design, execute, and manage test cases, ensuring comprehensive defect management

* Conduct component-level end-to-end integration and verification using simulated external interfaces

* Analyze logs and artifacts alongside design documents to identify and isolate issues

* Validate system performance through rigorous testing strategies

Programming and Scripting:

* Develop and execute tests and scripts using programming languages such as Python and Java

Security Testing:

* Apply security testing methodologies, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to ensure system integrity

Collaboration and Communication:

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

* Collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and stakeholders.

* Document and maintain test cases, test plans, and test results with clarity and precision.

Tools:

Test Management:

* JUnit, Postman, PyTest

Version Control and Collaboration:

* Git, Jira, Confluence

Monitoring and Logging:

* Splunk

Languages:

* Python (required)

* Java (preferred)

Target salary range: USD $89,505.00/Yr. - USD $99,295.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
