We are seeking highly cleared professionals who excel at the intersection of advanced communications infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission assurance-where reliability, security, and performance are paramount.

Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Cybersecurity Engineer - SMEto support this mission at MacDill AFB, Florida.

Responsibilities:

As a Cybersecurity Engineer - SME, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:

    Provides technical leadership for cybersecurity engineering functions within C2ISR network engineering support, establishing overarching goals and strategic plans for optimizing the security posture of the C2ISR Transport Infrastructure. Leads activities to transition to modernize engineering practices, digital engineering frameworks, and emerging mission systems technologies
  • Directs and controls the strategic design, development, and implementation of advanced security engineering analysis and optimization strategies for complex, mission-critical C2ISR communication systems.
  • Possesses expert domain and technical knowledge in cybersecurity, network engineering, and C2ISR architecture, applying this to define and drive the technical roadmap for developing innovative approaches to enhance network reliability and mission effectiveness from a security perspective.
  • Has overall responsibility for establishing and implementing secure network engineering capabilities that consistently improve overall mission readiness and technological adaptability across all C5ISRT systems and network infrastructure.
  • Engages in high-level client negotiations and interfaces with senior management regarding the strategic vision, capabilities, and resource allocation for advanced secure network engineering solutions within the C2ISR Transport Infrastructure.
  • Utilizes expert domain knowledge and decision-making that has a critical impact on the overall project implementation, ensuring all network engineering solutions address emerging security challenges and mission requirements.
  • Directs and controls the methods and staffing for cybersecurity engineering teams, ensuring delivery of high-impact, scalable, and resilient security solutions that optimize C2ISR network integrity and confidentiality.
  • Provides authoritative guidance on all aspects of secure network design, security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis for all C2ISR communication infrastructure components (e.g., SATCOM capable assets, ground-based gateways, associated transport infrastructure).
  • Establishes and governs the architectural principles, tools, and platforms for all cybersecurity engineering efforts within network engineering, critically impacting the reliability, resilience, and security effectiveness of C2ISR communications.
  • Shapes the future direction of C2ISR secure network engineering for the Task Order by pioneering new security technologies, research, and advanced integration techniques, directly impacting mission success and national security.


Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Cybersecurity Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level; Minimum of 12 years' experience with a BS/BA degree or 10 years' experience with a MS/MA or 7 years' experience with a Ph.D. OR 16 years without a degree OR 14 years with AS/AA
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 462 Control Systems Security Specialist, Advanced Level/ ability to obtain

Desired Qualifications:

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

Work Environment:

  • Location:MacDill AFB, FL
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
  • Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
