Pay Rate: $55/hr. to $66/hr. on w2 without benefits
Summary:
- We are seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test to join our engineering team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing, test framework development, and close collaboration with development teams.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright for React web applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient test code that integrates seamlessly with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with software engineers to understand system architecture and identify potential quality risks early in the development cycle.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing Identify, document, and track software defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Develop tools and utilities to improve testing efficiency and expand test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews for both production code and test code.
- Monitor test results, analyze failures, and provide detailed reports on software quality metrics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in software development and test automation.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Knowledge of security testing principles and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
