Job Summary B&A is looking for a Angular Full Stack Developer to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting Customs and Border Protection. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, and maintain full stack web applications, with a strong emphasis on Angular (v8+) for the front end
- Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team to research, design, implement, test, and deploy new features and applications
- Develop reusable, maintainable UI components following Angular best practices and modern UI/UX standards
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and back-end services to support front-end functionality
- Troubleshoot, research, and resolve production issues related to full stack applications
- Address integration challenges across systems, platforms, and environments
- Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions
- Estimate level of effort (LOE) and complexity for development tasks and features
- Provide implementation and technical support services for deployed applications
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including performance optimization and code quality enhancements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of overall software development experience in enterprise-scale applications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (version 8 or higher)
- Experience developing server-side applications using Java (Spring/Spring Boot) or comparable back-end frameworks
- 2+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment, using tools such as Jira
- 1+ year of experience in CI/CD environments, using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, or SonarQube
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development practices
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services
- Proficiency in back-end development using Java and Spring/Spring Boot (or equivalent frameworks)
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and strong SQL skills
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests for front-end and/or back-end components
- Familiarity with build tools and package managers (e.g., Maven, Gradle, npm)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and mentor junior developers
Desired Skills
- Experience deploying applications to cloud environments (e.g., AWS)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with message-driven architectures (e.g., JMS, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ)
- Exposure to additional frameworks or platforms such as Ruby on Rails
- Experience with performance tuning, security best practices, and accessibility standards (WCAG)
