Security Officer - University Patrol

As a Security Officer - University Patrol in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, support staff and students with clear communication, and deliver customer service that reflects our agile, reliable, innovative approach. You will succeed through teamwork and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional resources and/or medical assistance when needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, as directed by post orders.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance issues, and policy violations to the appropriate university contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation, and communicate updates during shift transitions using approved methods.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
