Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential community, you will drive between assigned areas, complete routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to resident questions with professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations and escalate concerns as needed, supporting a caring, people-first culture. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, amenities, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and access concerns.
• Control access through observation and verification of resident and visitor credentials, follow visitor management procedures, and direct deliveries to appropriate locations per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, noise complaints, suspected trespassing, and medical calls, and request assistance from emergency services when appropriate.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant information to property staff and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
