Job Description




As a Security Officer in Wilmer, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support employees and visitors with clear, professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate concerns, and respond to routine needs with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license per AU Driver Policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and/or media workplace.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of offices, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, issue temporary credentials as directed, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or public services as needed and providing clear direction to occupants.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and maintenance or hazard concerns, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
