How you'll make an impact:
The Sales Development (SDR) Intern will gain exposure to the end-to-end sales and revenue ecosystem at SiriusXM Media. Through hands-on collaboration and research, this intern will identify opportunities to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.

What you'll do:

  • Analyze inbound and outbound lead flow across SDR, Growth Sales, and Client Services teams.
  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, or friction points impacting lead qualification, handoff, and follow-up.
  • Evaluate how sales technology and tools (CRM, lead routing, reporting, enablement platforms) support or hinder sales execution.
  • Partner with SDR and Growth Sales teams to understand day-to-day prospecting, pipeline creation, and account expansion workflows.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to assess lead sources, campaign performance, and alignment with sales outreach.
  • Work with Revenue Operations and Enterprise Solutions to understand system logic, reporting, and operational constraints.
  • Conduct research on industry best practices related to sales development, lead management, and revenue growth.
  • Synthesize findings into clear recommendations, process maps, or frameworks to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Complete a capstone project focused on improving sales lead flow, process efficiency, or technology usage, and present findings to sales leadership at the end of the internship.

What you'll need:

  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Previous internships or work-related experience in a sales, sales support, advertising or marketing role preferred.
  • Participation in an undergraduate advertising or marketing organization (i.e. PRSSA, AAF, AMA) preferred.
  • Ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsible, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner; Can clearly demonstrate this through specific examples.
  • Strong aptitude for critical thinking and approaching problems & solutions with an analytical mindset.
  • Must love music and podcasts!
  • Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
  • Spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Creative writing ability.
  • Strong knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be $18/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
