Sales Internship - Summer 2026

Location: Welch Fluorocarbon, a UFP Technologies company | Dover, NH

This internship offers hands-on experience supporting sales strategy, market analysis, and customer enablement initiatives within a regulated and highly technical industry.

Program Details
  • Start Date: Mid to late May 2026
  • End Date: Mid to late August 2026
  • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week), Monday-Friday
  • Location: On-site in Dover, NH (no housing or transportation provided; local candidates within 45 minutes preferred)
What You'll Experience
  • Mentorship: Work closely with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the internship
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams
  • Data & Analysis Exposure: Develop skills in research, analysis, and insight generation
  • Professional Communication: Build experience presenting findings and recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Final Presentation: Prepare and deliver a summary of your work, insights gained, and recommendations to Sales and Business leadership
Internship Opportunities

The Sales Internship includes project-based work aligned with current business priorities. Interns will be assigned to one of the following focus areas based on business need, skills, and interests:

1. Customer Service Enablement

This opportunity focuses on supporting the development of an internal, Gemini-powered chatbot designed to help non-technical Customer Service Representatives confidently and efficiently respond to common technical questions from prospective customers. This role is well-suited for an Engineering student interested in leveraging their technical foundation in a customer-facing or sales-oriented capacity.

At a high level, this may include:

  • Assisting with organizing and structuring technical or product-related information
  • Supporting internal tools and resources used by Sales and Customer Service teams
  • Reviewing historical customer and sales data to identify common questions, patterns, and themes
  • Helping translate technical concepts into clear, customer-friendly language
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, and Marketing teams

What We're Looking For:

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in sales, market research, customer enablement, or business strategy
  • Ability to understand technical or product information and translate it into clear, non-technical insights
  • Basic understanding of AI/LLM and chatbot concepts (e.g., prompt engineering, retrieval-based tools)
  • Familiarity with knowledge-base development, information structuring, and working with unstructured data (e.g., CRM notes)
  • Awareness of AI limitations and the importance of source grounding and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills with attention to technical detail
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling internal information
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
2. Market Research & Sales Strategy Support

This opportunity focuses on conducting market and competitive research to support strategic sales planning within the medical device industry, including implantable medical device applications.

At a high level, this may include:

  • Researching market size, customer segments, applications, and competitive landscape
  • Gathering data from public sources such as industry reports, trade publications, and company websites
  • Analyzing trends, pricing dynamics, and potential growth opportunities
  • Summarizing findings into reports and presentations with actionable insights

What We're Looking For:

  • Current student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in sales, market research, customer enablement, or business strategy
  • Ability to understand technical or product-related information and translate it into clear, non-technical insights
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • CRM familiarity (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus but not required
  • Critical thinking to identify trends, opportunities, and risks
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling internal information
  • Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
