We are seeking highly cleared professionals who excel at the intersection of advanced communications infrastructure, distributed systems, and mission assurance-where reliability, security, and performance are paramount.

Specifically, we are looking for aTS/SCI cleared Software Test Engineer - SMEto support this mission at Pope Army Airfield, North Carolina.

Responsibilities:

As a Software Test Engineer - SME, you will provide technical and management leadership for all equipment and information support functions across the Task Order. Your responsibilities include:

    Provides leadership on major software testing and quality assurance efforts. Recognized as a domain expert.
  • Provides authoritative leadership in software testing strategy, defect management, and process improvement.
  • Shapes enterprise testing strategy and ensures alignment with required deliverables.
  • Directs systematic testing of software applications across enterprise systems.
  • Provides expertise in regression, performance, and deployment testing.
  • Oversees enterprise-wide defect tracking and resolution processes.
  • Shapes testing documentation standards and compliance verification methods.
  • Ensures continual improvement through advanced analysis and reporting.
  • Recognized for expertise in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Forecasts testing impacts and contributes to contract reviews.
  • Advises on acquisition logistics and system planning.
  • Trains staff in testing frameworks and compliance standards.
  • Ensures traceability, auditability, and compliance across all testing phases.
  • Utilizes the following TO Management & Financial Tracking Tools: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate); G Invoicing API; ASSIST portal integration; variance analysis dashboards; MS Project; Primavera; GFP management modules; WBS tracking systems; ServiceNow; Jira Service Desk; automated RIP/CTP/TAR workflows; SharePoint libraries; Confluence; Microsoft Search; lessons learned databases; video library repositories; Archer GRC; internal audit portals; Excel/SharePoint audit templates; CMDB with version control; Power BI with R/Python integration; Tableau; predictive analytics engines; Teams; Azure AD role based access; mobile access via Power Apps.
  • Utilizes the following Role Specific Tools: Automated testing frameworks (JUnit, NUnit, pytest, Selenium, Cypress); CI/CD platforms with integrated test pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, DAST, Jenkins, Azure DevOps); software quality and security scanning tools (SonarQube, SCAP scanners, Nessus); requirements traceability and test management systems (IBM DOORS, Jama, TestRail); version control and configuration management utilities (Git, Ansible, Terraform); Systems Integration Lab (SIL) environments replicating RGEP baselines; tri domain lab tools for IL4/IL5/IL6 enclaves with routing/VRF and crypto modules (FIPS 140 3, HAIPE); time synchronization utilities (PTP, GPSDO); policy testing frameworks with golden test packs and version control; performance and load testing platforms (JMeter, LoadRunner); interoperability and regression testing dashboards; test readiness review (TRR) packages with test matrix, golden data hashes, SLO compliance charts, and rollback procedures; operational test (OT) scenario validation tools for IOC/FOC milestones; documentation templates for test plans, test reports, and lessons learned repositories.


Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role supporting a DoD customer at the CCMD level
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience with BS/BA, or 10 years' experience with MS/MA, or 7 years' experience with PhD. OR 16 years without a degree OR 14 years with AS/AA
  • A current, active DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level
  • US citizenship is required
  • DOD 8140 Compliance based on functional role for WRC: 671 Systems Testing and Evaluation Specialist, Advanced Level / ability to obtain

Desired Qualifications:

  • DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.

Work Environment:

  • Location:Pope Army Airfield, NC
  • On-site expectations: Full-time on-site presence required for equipment management and asset tracking
  • Travel:May require occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites for logistics coordination and facility assessments

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
