Please Note: This role is anticipated to be a 12-month limited term employment (LTE) opportunity, with the possibility for the duration to be extended beyond the first year. Anticipated start date: February 2026

This Chemist I position is primarily responsible for conducting product development and testing activities for the Global Home Care R&D Department. This position will focus on supporting our outdoor control products such as liquid, aerosol or granule insecticides and other pesticides. This individual will also conduct stability testing on new or existing products.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct product development projects for new and existing EPA-registered consumer pesticide (insecticides, herbicides or fungicides), managing 4-6 projects annually.
  • Conduct and document laboratory studies in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Ensure all technical data meets high scientific standards, providing clear analysis and summaries to support product positioning and business recommendations.
  • Reformulate existing products to adapt to new regulations or market changes.
  • Perform and monitor storage stability studies to determine product shelf life and packaging stability.
  • Collaborate with internal R&D teams to fulfill all product testing requirements.
  • Log and compile stability data into cohesive reports.


  • Assist in the entries and maintenance of R&D databases.
  • Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook for all projects.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Chemistry, or a related science field required
  • 1 or more years of experience in product development or formulation of herbicide, insecticide and/or fungicide products in consumer package goods preferred
  • Role not eligible for sponsorship

Work Environment

Position works on-site 5 days week, full-time (40 hours per week).



  • 60-70% lab environment
  • 20-30% office environment
  • 5-10% travel
